Tree Witches

Supplies:

*Use Fat Quarters (Material) for the legs, cut out each leg 3 1/4 inch wide and 21 inches long. (Each Fat Quarter makes 3 legs).
*Witch Boot Pattern of your choice
*Black Felt for Witches Boots
*Plastic Grocery Bags to Stuff the Legs
*Safety Pins, to attach legs together
*Childs Witch Hat

Making Legs:

Fold over the width of the leg piece and sew making a tube (1/4th seam allowance) and turn right side out. (Sew to the already made boot.) Repeat for second leg.

Making Boots:

Sew two felt boot shapes together 1/4 inch seam allowance leaving the top of the boot open and turn right side out. After making witches boot, stuff the boot up to the ankle and leave ankle open to insert stuffed Leg. In the top of boot insert leg tube about two inches and sew straight across the ankle part of the boot closing up the boot and tube leg bottom then fold boot top down. (see picture) Repeat for second boot.

Hint: Make sure to clip edges after sewing the boots so the boots will shape properly when turned right side out.
