Flaming Fury Peach Tree

This has been a very good peach tree for our Zone 4 region in Utah.

I’ve had the tree for about 10 years.

Pruned Flaming Fury Peach Tree

I don’t know if I always make the right cuts but I learn more every year I prune my trees.

Flowering plum is not a favorite tree but it gets really pretty flowers in the spring and a ton of little plums in the fall and they make such a mess!

This is my sad Dwarf Bartlett Pear Tree. It has had such issues it keeps getting fire blight. Utahstateextension I don’t know how much longer it will live. I pruned out the water sprouts, these are the branches that shoot straight up in the air. I’m not pruning much because if fire blight comes back I will have to prune it again. I could treat with a spray but the treatment is expensive but I do spray all my fruit trees with Lime Sulfur and Dormant Oil in the spring right after pruning. Find more about spraying here Utahstateextension and here Andersonsseedandgarden

Pruning is hard work! I will have to have professionals come and prune when my trees get to big and tall.

Enjoy pruning!
