This is more of the 24th of July/Days of 47′ decorations for our Utah Holiday.
These are cute wagons that I saw at delightfullearning or tutorial at The Crafty Classroom where you can learn how to make them.
I’m made these wagons for our Pioneer Dinner Party table decorations.
Paper Mâché Bees
Paste:
*Flour
*Water
*Newspapers ripped into small pieces
*Black and Yellow Acrylic Paint
*Interfacing (as used in sewing)
*Glue Gun
*19 gauge Wire
*I made these paper mâché bees with a flour paste equal parts of flour to water I used about cup of each to make sure I could totally saturate the newspaper pieces. (You may need to make more or less paste depending on how many bees you want to make.)
*Now take newspapers and rip them up in small pieces and add them to the flour paste until it forms a big glob. Pinch off a bee size amount. squish or form them together in your hand in a bee shape as big or small as you want them to be and let them dry for a couple of days.
* Paint them black and then added the yellow strips after the black paint has dried.
* You can use wire for some Antennas.
These are easy to make but messy.
The wings are made from interfacing cut into figure eight shape and I hot glued them to the paper mâché bee.
You can find out how to make some of these bees at beyondagarden and I saw these paper mâché bees on etsy but they are no longer available.
I found the Paper Lantern at Hobby Lobby.
