This is my full grown garden 2012. We are excited to see what this year’s garden will bring. I hope you will find this helpful in planting this year.

Spirit Pumpkin is the orange label. The Butter-crunch Lettuce is really Butternut Squash.

Potatoes are planted most readily from seed potatoes that are untreated with grow inhibitors.

I plant most of the potatoes whole if they are small. Cut large potatoes into sections of three eyes in each. I always have some small potatoes from the year before and buy new ones too. Just remember not to plant in the same spot in your garden as you did the year before.

Since I prepared my beds with amendments last fall I just made rows in my beds and planted the seeds 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. ( I like to plant seeds close, it helps to support plants as they grow bigger.)I just use plastic markers and with a waterproof sharpie. I write the names of the seeds planted.

Love Gardening.
