Bandanas for Root Beer or Cream Soda Pop Bottles

*I cut out 4 square pieces of Muslin material 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 Inches and cut them in half on an angle and tied the longest side (which is 9 1/2 inches in length) ends together around each of the pop bottles, making 8 Bandanas.

Decorative Wagon Wheels

20130724-223451.jpg

I used burlap ribbon/strips and wrapped around tubing you could also use Hula Hoops. I used Jute to tie and wrap around to secure burlap strips and for the spokes you could use a thicker rope or burlap strips twisted, but I used Jute.

I used the same flower Technic as I used here.

After making the flowers I attached the flowers to all the crossing pieces of Jute using another piece Jute and a wide eyed needle to attach and I tied the Jute ends in the back of the wagon wheels/flowers.

Bee Sack Treat Bag

* Root Beer Barrels
*Honey Taffy
*Lemon heads candy
*Lemon Creme Almonds

I found all the candy at are local Macey’s Grocery Store except for the Honey Taffy and Treat bags which I bought at Cox Hone. I put all the treats in the treat bag and tied them with Jute.

Bee Cups

I bought the Bee Cups at the dollar store and put in a couple of Bit-O-Honey Candies. (You could take the wrappers off for a more of the pioneer look.) Then fill the rest of the space with Honeycomb Cereal.

I hope you will have a pioneer/bee party in the future.

I just used a Brownie Mix to make the Brownies and I tried out my new Brownie Maker and it takes about the same time to bake as it does in the oven but you don’t have to heat up the kitchen.

Greek Yogurt Cheese Cake Flags

This Cheesecake Crust is adapted from allrecipes and the cheesecake is too.

Greek Yogurt Cheesecake

*1 1/2 packages of Graham Cracker crushed
*8 tablespoons of Butter melted
*1/4 cup of sugar

Mix together and press into a 9 x 13 pan lined with Foil, to help lift out cheesecake to cool after baking, and spray the foil with Pam. Bake at 375*F. for 7-8 minutes. Remove from oven and top with Cheesecake Filling and Bake, see below.

Cheesecake Filling

*2 packages of Greek Yogurt Cream Cheese or low fat Cream Cheese, I used one of each at room temperature
*3/4 cup Sugar
*3 large Eggs, at room temperature
*2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
*2 teaspoons Vanilla
*1/4 teaspoon Salt

Pour filling into pre-made crust. Using a roasting pan place cheesecake in roasting pan, fill roasting pan with 1/2 inch water and bake for 25 minutes at 325*F. Remove Cheesecake from oven and lift out the cheesecake with the foil to put on a cooling rack to cool. Cut into rectangular shapes. I cut into eight flag shapes.

Decorate just before serving.

For Decorating:

* I used 32 Blueberries, if yours are small you might need more.
*Seedless Raspberry Jelly, or we used homemade Strawberry Coulis.

Visit greekyogurtcheesecake for more pictures on how to make this cheesecake.
