July Fourth Flag & Star Banner

This is the monthly banner for the month of July. You can find more on how to make them here and here

I had these fabrics at my home from projects that I’ve made but I usually get my fabrics from Jo Ann’s and Wal mart. I ironed the fabrics to fusible webbing then ironed to the natural batting. You can see the pattern burlap4thofJulybanner You can cut the shape of the star from a cookie cutter or any star shape you like and the flag stars section is 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and the strips on the flag section is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.

I blanket stitch around each ironed on piece with embroidery floss in colors that I wanted to stand out or blend in.
