Turkey Ranch Cheese Ball

Turkey Ranch Cheese Ball

*Purchased Ranch Cheese Ball or cheese ball of choice, from your deli or grocery store

*Pretzel Sticks, for turkey feathers

*Beef Jerky Stick or fat Pretzel stick, cut to size desired Note: I think fat pretzel stick will be better if you aren’t going to eat cheese ball right away

*2 to 3 Caramels per turkey, Kraft for head

*Candy Eyes, Wilton

*1/4 cup Chocolate Melting Wafers or chocolate chips, melted

*Cinnamon Bear, thin slice length wise for snood/wattle

*Candy Corn, beak

Turkey Head:

Cut pretzel or Beef Jerky Stick the length desired or about 4 to 5 inches.

Microwave caramels 5 to 10 seconds just to soften not melted. Form the melted caramels to the top of your preferred stick and shape into a turkey head. Then dip caramel head on the stick into your melted chocolate and allow to set just enough to set the eyes and beak and then allow to dry by placing in the front of the cold cheese ball, press in a few inches and allow to set in the fridge 5 minutes.

Remove from the fridge and add the slice of cinnamon bear using the sticky side it should stick to the candy corn making the snood/wattle.

Add the pretzels as desired in the cheese ball making the fan of feathers, see pictures.

Enjoy!

Chocolate Caramel Turkey Legs

Chocolate Caramel Turkey Legs

*12 Twisted Pretzels, we used Great Value

*1 package Kraft Caramels, this made 12 Turkey Legs, 3 Caramels per turkey Leg

*3/4 cup Dark Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers, melted in 30 second increments in the microwave in a small deep microwave safe bowl until melted stirring between each increment

*1/2 cup Ghirardelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers, melted the same as the dark chocolate

In a small microwave bowl on medium soften caramels or in your microwave, ours took about 10 seconds to slightly soften caramels. You don’t want the Caramels to melt just softened to be able to form them onto the pretzel. After softening the caramels form 2 caramels to the top of the pretzel forming to look like the meat on a turkey leg. For the bottom of the turkey leg add the 3rd caramel forming into the shape of a bone. Set aside on a Silpat or parchment covered baking sheet. Repeat until all turkey legs are formed.

Then dip the top of the turkey leg “meat part” In the dark chocolate. After dipping place back on baking sheet and repeat for each leg and refrigerate about 5 minutes or until set. Then dip the other end of the turkey legs in white melted wafers and refrigerate again just until set, remove from fridge. Enjoy!

Enjoy!
