Making these buntings/banners are really fun to do. They are simple and easy and won’t require much time because banner only has 4 seasonal flags and you will need to make only 4 seasonal items each month and the bunting/banner is ready made to use each month once you’ve made the burlap banner with clothes pins you just switch out the seasonal items.
This Crow & Watermelon is one of the banners I use for the month of August. The links are below for making the Burlap bunting/banner.

See how to make here. and here. and Pioneer Banner here.
For this banner cut out 2 of each watermelon pieces and to bodies of the crow, beak and 4 legs and feet.
Cut your legs 2 1/2 x 7 – 8 inches, fold in half one piece of fabric in half with wrong sides together sew the long sides together 1/4 inch seam, (I usually just follow the edge of the sewing foot) then use a safety pin and turn your tube of fabric to the right side. No need to iron these legs. Punch holes in your finished feet and body, two holes in the body and one hole in each foot. Then place leg through hole and tie a knot in the backside of feet and crow body.
Blanket stitch around each seasonal item.
