Halloween Bath Bombs

Halloween Bath Bombs

*1 Batch makes 6 Cauldrons, green

OR

*1 Batch Makes 2 large round bath bombs, 2 Small round Bath Bombs and 2 cauldrons to make candy corn colors

Note: We made 2 separate batches

Following Recipe is for 1 Batch

*2 cups Baking Soda
*1 cup Citric Acid
*1 tablespoon Coconut oil melted, more if needed to help the mixture to stick together forming balls and pressing in cauldrons (we add 1 to 3 tablespoons)
*Food Coloring of Choice or we used Orange, Yellow and Green
*Better Homes Gardens Essential Oils, Lemon for the Cauldrons and Candy Corn Bath Bombs-Orange, Oils from Walmart (We added 12 shakes, but add until your desired fragrance/smell)
*Plastic Black Cauldrons, found at Walmart Or Target
*Plastic Black Spider, Target or Dollar Store Or Walmart etc…
*Plastic Ball Molds, sold on Amazon or Bath Bomb Molds Only Or Variety of Round Molds

Instructions:

Combine in a large glass bowl the baking soda, (Essential oils, color add these at this time if only making one color and one essential oil fragrance), citric acid and coconut oil. Add more coconut oil as needed.

Now with your hands form the mixture into a ball to see if you can form a ball without it falling apart. Then break up mixture again and separate your mixture into different glass bowls to add the colorings and essential oils of choice if you haven’t already done so, mix essential oils and coloring until incorporated. Repeat as needed for each bowl.

Note: If you are doing all one color and the same essential oils, then add the the mixture along with baking soda citric acid and coconut oil at the beginning. Then press mixtures into cauldron or round molds or molds of choice. (Mixing with your hands works well.)

When balls are firmly pressed in molds, remove balls and let set on a wire rack for 1 hour but they really should be set and ready to go in bags etc… or use right away.

Note: Bath Bombs can make tubs slippery after use because of the coconut oil so use caution when standing. Rinses tub well or clean.

Fudge Brownie Book

*
Recipe Source Cafe Delites or use Fudge Brownie Box Mix and a Brownie Pan

*
Supplies:

*
*8″ x 8″ square baking pan

*Parchment Paper

*4 Metal Baking Clips, optional see picture below

*Cooking Spray

*

Ingredients
:

*1/2 cup Butter, melted

*1 tablespoon Extra Light Olive Oil

*1 and 1/8 cups Superfine Sugar (can sub granulated sugar)

*2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

*2 Eggs

*1/2 cup All-purpose Flour

*1/2 cup Cocoa Powder

*1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt

Instructions:

Wet Ingredients:

Combine in a mixing bowl whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, sugar and vanilla extract.  Then add 1 egg at a time beating with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.

Dry Ingredients
:

*
Sift into a medium bowl the flour, cocoa powder and sea salt. Slowly add to the wet ingredients, stirring in 1/3 of the dry ingredients at a time just until completely combined. Mixing to much after adding the dry ingredients will make them cake like and this is a “fudgy” brownie recipe.

*
In a 8 inch square baking pan, add a cut piece of parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Pour mixed brownie batter into lined parchment lined pan.

Bake In a pre-heated 350*F. oven, placing the oven rack at the top of the oven for slower cooking to make the fudge type brownies, mine took 28 minutes to cook but check on them after baking 22 minutes. They will be gooey when checked with a tooth pick. If you over bake the brownies they you will lose the “fudgy” type brownie texture. When baked remove pan of brownies from the oven and allow to cool completely in pan.

*
After cooling, remove/lift brownies from pan and cut into 9 brownies.

*Hocus Pocus Brownie

*
*2 cups Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting/Dipping Wafers, melted and drizzled over each brownie as desired.

*Large or Small Candy Eyes, I found them at Walmart

Options:

*Black Food Coloring, added to 1/4 cup of melted chocolate wafers (For adding decorative black stitches, snakes and lining the eye etc…) Optional

*Black food Marker, for adding eyelashes to eye, optional
