Bee Doll Clothes Pins
I made these from doll clothes pins and used acrylic paints in Americana Antique Gold and Black. The wire is a 19-22 Gauge wire depending on the thickness you want to work with. I saw some similar ones on Etsy but they are no longer available.
Wagons updated 7-12-19
These wagons are made from natural batting, fusible web and cut and ironed to a piece of felt. I hot glued a piece of Jute for a loop to hang on the trees.
Flour Sacks and Rice Bags
These flour sacks and rice bags are made out of Muslin material.
*I cut 8 rectangular shapes about 5 1/2 x 4 inches.
*Write the names on the bags with a permanent marker on 4 of the rectangles. (I used a piece of card board behind them because the marker will soak through.
* Then take 2 of the rectangles with right sides together sew the sides and bottom leaving the top open to stuff the bags.
*Then add batting to the flour sacks and rice in the rice bags. You don’t need to sew the tops closed because you will tie them closed.
* I used string to tie the corners of the flour sack and Jute to tie the top and corners of the rice bags.
Wood Bees and Beehives
The following wood cut outs of the bees and beehives are shapes I bought at different craft stores. I painted them with Americana Antique Gold, Ivory, Delta Spice Brown and Black Acrylic Paint and when they were dry I put on a clear acrylic sealer or you could use Mod Podge.
I used a Fiskars Hand Drill and drilled a small hole in the top of them and cut enough wire to make a loop.
Have a good day.
