Taco Cookies
Taco Cookie Supplies:
Note: Use as many of the following ingredients/food items to number of taco cookies you wish to make.
*Lemon Oreo Sandwich Cookies, centers removed and saw in half with a knife. Taco Shells
*1/4 cup Shredded Coconut, colored with 2 drops lime green food coloring mixed with 1/4 teaspoon water placed in a Ziploc bag, add coconut and shake/message to mix until all pieces are coated, Lettuce
*Red Hot Candies, cut some into halves and some cut into 4ths, Tomatoes
*Yellow and Orange Sprinkles, Cheese
*Chocolate Icing, Meat/Frosting “Glue”
*Chocolate Oreo Cookies, centers removed and crumbled to make as the Meat
*White Frosting, optional for sour cream
Instructions:
Take two cookie halves and place together at the cut bottom, Oreo writing on the inside. Pipe on frosting with piping bag for the “meat” add crumbled chocolate Oreos ”. Then add coconut lettuce, cheese sprinkles, tomato Red hots and piped on white frosting for the sour cream, if using this option. Add finished taco cookies to cupcakes or sugar cookies or just serve as a treat at Cinco de Mayo dinner party or taco Tuesday.
