The Little Red Sled

I really like the wooden red sleds from days gone by and all the memories of the Holidays sledding down hills. I’ve seen many red sled ornaments, decorated porch sleds and sleds used any Holiday decorating.

These red sleds I saw on Pinterest (Tidbits) and thought I would make some for our Christmas Table.

Chicken Lasagna

20131217-213717.jpg

This the best Chicken Lasagna Recipe that I have tasted or made. It doesn’t have all the grease that can come from hamburger. It’s a yummy Healthier Lasagna.

Chicken Lasagna

Add the following seasonings into the raw chicken before cooking. Cook in a cast iron skillet with 2 tablespoons Extra Light Olive Oil.

*1-2 pounds Ground Chicken, cooked
*2 tablespoons Dried Onions
*1/4 teaspoon Deverle’s Seasoning, or 1/4 teaspoon of the Salt and of the Pepper
*1/4-1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
*2 pinches of Red Pepper Flakes
*1/8-1/4 teaspoon Dry Diced Garlic

When you have cooked the chicken until no longer pink, add the following Sauce, saving about a 1/2 cup of sauce for the bottom of the 9×13 baking dish.

*1 Bottle Ragu Spaghetti Sauce (1 pound 7.9 ounces) or 2-3 small cans Italian Tomato Paste, add water to desired thickness for your Lasagna Sauce

Lasagna Noodles

Cook Lasagna Noodles according to the box directions.

*1 pound box of Lasagna Noodles, cooking 9-10 in case one noodle breaks apart

Other Ingredients

*1 24 ounce container Cottage Cheese
*3 cups Shredded Mozzarella

Layer the above ingredients in a 9 x 13 Glass Baking Dish: 1/2 cup Tomato Sauce, 3 cooked Lasagna Noodles, Chicken with sauce, Cottage Cheese, and then repeat with 3 Lasagna Noodles, Chicken with sauce, Cottage Cheese, and then 3 Lasagna Noodles, Chicken with Sauce and then top with 3 cups of grated Mozzarella Cheese.

Cover with Foil and Bake at 400*F. for 35 minutes, then remove foil and bake another 10 minutes.

Cool slightly and serve.
