Guacamole Football Field Dip

(null)

How cute is this Football Field! I saw it over at Everyday Good Thinking. Her field is very detailed and professional looking. We made our dip and used her idea for the football field for decorating.

Guacamole Dip with Roasted Peppers

*6 ripe Avocados, mashed
*1 Red Pepper Roasted or you could use 1 Green Pepper I used 1/2 of each
*1 bottle Salsa Verde 16 oz. medium heat
*1 cup cilantro, chopped
*1/2 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce (optional)
*Juice from one lime

Hand mix with spoon all of the above ingredients in a bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Seasoned Re-fried Black Beans

*2 cans 15 ounce Black Beans, drained and rinsed
*2 cloves Garlic, pressed or minced
*4 tablespoons minced Onions
*2 tablespoon Extra Light Olive Oil
*1/2 teaspoon Cumin
*2 pinches Chili Powder
*1/2 cup Chicken Stock
*Salt to taste

In a sauté pan on medium heat, Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil and heat for 1-2 minutes, adding the garlic the last-minute.

In a small sauce pot on medium heat add: Sautéed onions and garlic, black beans, chicken stock, cumin, chili powder and salt.

Bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer and simmer for 20 minutes.

Remove from heat and smash the beans with a fork and spread to the bottom of glass pan and top with the Guacamole.

Decorating the Football Field

*Pipe on the sour cream football field yard lines with a pastry bag or a plastic bag with the small piece of the corner clipped.

*Pre-Packaged Small peeled Carrots, pick sizes to fit olives
*Small Olives, cut into football helmets and referee hats
*Sour Cream

Pretzel Goal Posts

* Stick Pretzels, 4 per goal post
*Chocolate Almond Bark, melted used for glue

Lay pretzels on wax paper in a goal post shape and glue where the pretzels connect.
