Sombrero Cookies

How fun to make these cookies with your kids or grandchildren for Cinco de Mayo, home school project or any occasion.  Very Easy with purchased pre-made ingredients.

Sombrero Cookies

*1 package Peanut Butter Cookies, purchased or homemade 3-4 inch cookies

*Milk Chocolate and/or Cream Cheese Frosting, like Betty Crocker

*Candy Dots/Gumdrops

*Colorful Rainbow Candy Sprinkles, Non Pareils, like Dallies Edible Decor

*Minis M & M’s or Baking M &M’s

*Decorating Bags with small tip or Plastic Zip Lock Bags with a small piece of corner snipped off for piping frosting onto cookies.

Decorate by placing a small circle of frosting in the middle of the cookie and add a Dot candy to the center. Pipe the frosting in desired zigzag patters, slashes and piping as desired. Most of all just have fun.

1 cup Lemon Lime Soda with 1-2 tablespoons Lime Syrup like Victorio or your favorite Lime Syrup.

For the Rim of the glass, rub slice of lime on the rim and dip in coarse sea salt or sugar crystals.   Garnish with a slice of lime and a slice of pineapple.

Grilled Pineapple
