Snowman Doughnuts

*White Powdered Sugar Mini Doughnuts, like Hostess Donettes 10.5 ounce 20 count or you can use pre-packaged, snowman body 4 doughnuts per snowman

*Powdered Sugar Doughnut Holes, snowballs, use pretzel clear bags with silver twist ties both doughnut holes and bags found at Walmart

*Folded Sandwich Bags, for snowman doughnut body

*Silver/white/Iridescent snowflake wired craft ribbon garland, for Scarf

*Orange Permanent Marker or regular markers for children, Nose

*Black Permanent Marker or regular markers for children, Eyes, Mouth and Buttons

*Permanent Clear Tape.

Place 4 white powdered doughnuts in the bottom of the sandwich bag and stack them from the bottom left side to the right bottom of the sandwich making the snowman body. Wrap around the excess top of the sandwich bag and cut off. Leaving enough to tape to the backside of the snowman body and tape closed. Then with a black marker make charcoal 2 eyes, 5 charcoal mouth on the “head” doughnut and 3 buttons on 3 “body”doughnuts down the front of the sandwich sack snowman. Now use wire snowflake wire or ribbon for the scarf and wrap around the “neck” of the snowman, below the first doughnut which is the head. Repeat for each doughnut snowman.

Christmas Pomegranate Salad

Christmas Pomegranate Salad

*1 bag (10 ounce) Baby Spinach,rinsed and dried

*2 Pomegranate, rinsed and seeds/fruit removed

*18 medium Strawberries, halved

*14 Slices Bacon, cooked, cut into bite size pieces (I like to use the pre-cooked Bacon

*1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheese

*1/2 cup Caramelized Almond Slices

*1 Bottle Kraft Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing, served individually

Directions:


Dived and layer the above ingredients in 6 individual bowls. Serve with Dressing. I like to let guests add their own dressing.

Caramelized  Sliced Almonds

*

*1/2 cup sliced Almonds

*3 tablespoons Sugar

In a small stainless steel sauce pan on medium heat add the sliced almonds and sugar, using a wooden spoon watching and stirring as needed until the sugar has melted and you start to see caramelizing. Remove from heat and spread out  caramelized almonds on wax paper and allow to cool and dry.
