Party Background & Bunting/Banner

20130812-173707.jpg

Jessica my daughter made this backdrop and Birthday Banner for my Birthday. I thought it turned out wonderfully. They were simple to make and if you have a circuit cutter for the letters it will be quick to make. Jessica traced and cut out all the letters by hand on the Happy Birthday Banner, very kind of her!

Supplies for Material Backdrop:

*1/4 -1/3 yard of 6 Different Colors of Fabrics cut in strips of 1, 2 and 2 1/2 inches wide and cut the length of the fabric
*Jute or some type of rope to tie each fabric strip about 2 yards
*2 dowels or sticks to tie Jute or other source to attach the Backdrop

This backdrop ended up being about 50 inches long from the first knot to the last knot.

The fabric is heavy so you will need a stable base for each side, each of my containers have bird seed in them.

You can use the full length of each strip or fold each strip in Half for a fuller look. The strips of fabric in the picture are folded in half.

Tie a knot for each strip. If you want to double over look like mine see the link below.
