Marinated & Grilled Rib Eye Steaks

*3-4 large bone in Rib Eye Steaks or steaks desired

Marinade Ingredients:

*1/4 cup Soy Sauce
*1/4 cup Extra Light Olive Oil
*1/8 cup Lemon Juice, I used bottled lemon juice
*1/8 cup Worcestershire Sauce
*1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
*1 tablespoon dried Parsley
*1 1/2 tablespoons Basil
*1/2 teaspoon Ground White Pepper
*1/4 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce or a Hot Pepper Sauce, optional
*1/2 teaspoon dried Minced Garlic

If desired combine the above marinade ingredients and blend in blender to bring out flavors and pour over steaks in glass pan, cover (I combined the marinade ingredients along with steaks and placed in a gallon Zip Loc Bag, close) and refrigerate overnight or 8 hours. Remove from fridge and discard marinade and grill steaks to desired doneness; rare, medium rare, medium and well done. See Simply Recipes for helpful hints on doneness.

Marinated Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Ingredients:

*5 large Portobello Mushroom Caps, cleaned

Marinade:

*1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
*2 tablespoon Extra Light Olive Oil
*1 teaspoon dried Basil
*1 teaspoon dried Oregano
*1 tablespoon Minced Garlic, we used 2 teaspoons dried minced garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste

Toppings:

*5 slices Pepper Jack or Provolone Cheese Slices, melted on Portobello mushroom the last minute of cooking on the grill

*Veggie Burger or pre-seasoned Turkey Burger or A1 seasoned Hamburger Patty, Grill burgers until no longer pink inside; these burger patties are optional but a yummy addition

*5 large Buttercrunch or Romaine Lettuce leaves etc….
*1-2 Tomatoes, sliced
*1 medium Onion, roughly chopped and sautéed in 1-2 tablespoons of Extra Light Olive Oil until translucent or to taste
*any other toppings of your choice

Placed paper towel cleaned Portobello Mushrooms in a gallon sized Zip Loc bag and pour in marinade covering all the mushrooms. Marinade for 15 minutes at room temperature.

I like to make a heavy duty aluminum foil tray, placing all 5 mushrooms adding the remaining marinade on top of mushrooms and cook/grill on a preheated medium-high grill for about 5-8 minutes on each side or until tender and top with cheese, just until melted. Serve with the above desired toppings.
